Fernscape Interiors
This project was for a university course on website design where I constructed a custom website through HTML and CSS on Visual Studio Code for a fictional company, Fernscape Interiors, that installs plant life into indoor spaces. The goal of the project was to create a simple website that showcased their brand identity and mission.
Since the company already had an established brand identity, the design process involved constructing the website through a low-fidelity wireframe for both desktop and mobile versions that served as the foundation for the layout. Images were compiled from open-source websites, and files were organized under appropriate folders. Bootstrap was essential in speeding up the coding process. The website was checked for accessibility using web content accessibility guidelines (WCAG).
Using their established brand identity of earth-toned colors and elegant typography, the designs were made with their identity and an approachable user interface in mind, which appeals to their target audience. The project was delivered through a zip file containing essential HTML and CSS pages and folders. The project effectively met its goals by implementing a serene, sophisticated, and approachable website that encompasses their brand identity.
